〈展覧会情報〉
「Impressions Unseen（見えない印象）」 は、感情が抽象を通じてかたちをとり、静かで内省的な空間へと観客を導きます。本展では、Fifi（フィフィ）が記憶、経験、そして自然から生じる感情の痕跡——内面に残る徴——をたどりながら制作した作品を紹介します。それぞれの作品は、直感的なプロセスのなかで生まれ、質感、色彩、動きが幾重にも重ねられ、私たちの内側をかたち作る「見えない印象」の一端を垣間見せてくれます。
一連の作品群において、目に見えるものを描くのではなく、感じられてはいても言葉にしづらいもの——表層のすぐ下にひそむ静かな響き——を喚起しようと試みます。
〈アーティスト・ステートメント〉
私は論理よりも感情に語りかける、直感的な抽象表現を通して作品を制作しています。それぞれの作品は、私の内なる世界を視覚化したものです。主にアクリル絵具を用いながら、時にミクストメディアも取り入れ、固定された計画に従うのではなく、プロセスそのものに導かれるようにして制作しています。
私にとって最大のインスピレーションは自然界です。水の動き、石の重なり合う質感、植物の繊細な形態、そして光と影の移ろい。そのすべてが、私の内面にエネルギーや記憶、感情を呼び起こし、それを色や質感、身振りによって応答していきます。
筆、パレットナイフ、スクイージー、そして自分の手など、さまざまな道具を使いながら、作品に奥行きと立体感を加えていきます。その痕跡は、意図と偶然の両方によって生まれ、コントロールと委ねのバランスのなかで形づくられます。私にとって絵を描くという行為は、静けさ、存在、そして感情の共鳴を探る静かな旅です。
旅を重ねるなかで出会った風景や文化の印象も、知らず知らずのうちに作品の中に溶け込み、経験の層を加えています。
最終的には、私の作品が観る人にとって心のつながりのひとときとなり、抽象のなかに自身の何かを見出すための、静かな時間をもたらせることを願っています。

Fifi（Fatma Massoud）
アメリカ・カリフォルニア州を拠点とする独学の美術作家。主にアクリル絵具とミクストメディアによって作品を制作し、自然界の質感、色彩、形態から着想を得ている。情熱的な旅人でもあり、世界各地の旅から得た印象を作品に織り込み、その感情的な深みと有機的な動きを生み出している。
2024年にプロとしての活動を開始して以来、Fifiの作品は複数の審査制コンペティションで評価され、「Gallery 4 Percent」「Blue Koi Gallery」「Fusion Art」などのオンライン展で展示されてきた。筆やパレットナイフ、そして自らの手など、多様な道具を用いて、豊かに層を重ねた表現力ある作品をつくっている。
図書館情報学修士、コンピュータサイエンス修士。その作品は観る者を静けさ、つながり、そして静かな内省の空間へと誘う。

〈Exhibition Information〉
“Impressions Unseen” invites viewers into a quiet, contemplative space where emotion takes form through abstraction. In this collection, Fifi explores the lingering traces of feeling—the marks left behind by memory, experience, and the natural world. Each piece emerges from an intuitive process, layered with texture, color, and gesture, offering a glimpse into the unseen impressions that shape us from within.
Rather than illustrating the visible, this body of work evokes what’s felt but rarely spoken—those quiet echoes that dwell just beneath the surface.
〈Artist Statement〉
Through intuitive abstraction, I create art that speaks from emotion rather than logic—each piece a visual expression of my inner world. I paint primarily with acrylics and often incorporate mixed media, allowing the process to guide me rather than following a fixed plan.
The natural world serves as my greatest inspiration: the movement of water, layered textures of stone, delicate botanical forms, and the ever-changing dance of light and shadow. These elements stir something within me (energy, memory, feeling) and I respond to them through color, texture, and gesture.
I work with a variety of tools(brushes, palette knives, squeegees, and my hands) to build depth and dimension. The marks I make are both intentional and spontaneous, a balance of control and letting go. Each painting becomes a quiet exploration of stillness, presence, and emotional resonance.
Traveling often, I carry with me impressions from different landscapes and cultures. These impressions subtly find their way into my work, enriching it with nuance and layers of experience.
Ultimately, I hope my art offers viewers a moment of connection—a pause to feel, reflect, and find something of their own within the abstract.

Fifi (Fatma Massoud)
A self-taught fine artist based in California, USA. Working primarily with acrylics and mixed media, her intuitive abstract paintings are inspired by the textures, colors, and forms of the natural world. A passionate traveler, her global adventures fuel the emotional depth and organic movement found in her work.
Since beginning her professional journey in 2024, Fifi’s art has received recognition in several juried competitions and has been exhibited in notable online shows hosted by Gallery 4 Percent, Blue Koi Gallery, and Fusion Art. Her creative process involves a wide range of tools—from brushes to palette knives to her hands—allowing her to build richly layered, expressive pieces.
Fifi holds an M.A. in Library Science and an M.S. in Computer Science. Her work invites viewers into a space of calm, connection, and quiet reflection.
