AAPAで昨年10月から今年の6月にかけて東京で実施した『からだの対話の場をひらく』のテーマ「触れる／触れられる」に続く形で、ある書かれた言葉の「とかき(概)」を読む場をひらく、展示とパフォーマンス。静岡でのダンス（コンタクト・インプロビゼーション）のワークショップで「からだに触れながら相手と話す」ことを行った際、参加者のひとりと休憩時間に話したことがきっかけで手渡された「言葉が書かれたもの」が、今回の創作の始まりになっています。

*「とかき(概)」：米をますに入れ、盛り上がった米をならして外にあふれ出させる際に使う短い棒。転じて、おおむね。おもむき。

2004年より様々な場所で、日常と地続きの舞台空間を企画。物や言葉から創作するダンスを「大野一雄フェスティバル2009」「踊りに行くぜ!!Ⅱ vol.1」で上演。2013年、東京の北千住に「日の出町団地スタジオ」を開き、日々の定期クラスと「Touch コンタクトインプロフェス2018(北京/上海)」など各地でのワークショップを通じて、からだへの気づきを創作につなげている。

*Admission: 1,000. The reception opens 15 minutes before the performance. The duration will be about 50 minutes.

This exhibition and performance is a follow-up to the theme “Touching/Touched” of “Opening a Space for Body Dialogue” held by AAPA in Tokyo from October last year to June this year, opening a space for reading a “tokaki (outline)” of certain written words. The “written words” handed to the artist during a break time at a dance (contact improvisation) workshop in Shizuoka, where the artist talked with the participants while touching their bodies, became the starting point for creating the work.

* “tokaki (outline)”: A short stick used to fill the troughs with rice, and to smooth the rice out of the troughs. It is also translated as “general”: “taste”.

Since 2004, Uemoto has been organizing stage spaces connected to everyday life in various places. The artist has performed dances created from objects and words at “Kazuo Ohno Festival 2009” and “Let’s Go Dancing! Ⅱ vol.1.” Uemoto opened “Hinodecho Danchi Studio” in Kitasenju, Tokyo, and through regular daily classes and workshops in various locations such as “Touch Contact Improvi Fest 2018 (Beijing/Shanghai)” connects one’s awareness of the body to creation.
