〈ステートメント〉
絵を描くことは、まだみぬ景色を紡ぐこと
形を作ることは、まだみぬ物語を紡ぐこと
重なりは絵肌となり、音を鳴らしてゆく
音鳴りはことばとなり、そこに着地する
絵具のマテリアルとストロークを組み合わせて、抽象画を描いている。
設計図をもたずに、旅するように、一喜一憂しながら描いている。
失敗あり、寄り道あり、いつ終わるかわからない旅路なのだが
突然その瞬間がくる。
道が見える。音が聞こえる。心躍る。その瞬間がすきだ。
数年前から、陶芸をはじめた。
やはりあまり設計図をもたずに手探りでかたちをつくる。
釉薬のマテリアルも重ねて焼くとまったく予想外なことがおこる。
その色の重なりが、わたしのこころのなかで、音を鳴らす。
そのこころ躍る音鳴りを 言葉にしようとおもった。

〈展覧会情報〉
monade contemporary | 単子現代では、フルタミチエによる個展「絵肌が、奏でる」を開催します。
フルタミチエはこれまで、油彩、ドローイング、モノタイプ版画、陶芸などさまざまなメディアや技法を経験しながら創作活動を続けるなかで、色彩と形態のその時々の出遭いに意識を向けてきました。マテリアルとストロークを組み合わせて描かれた線や形態は、まるで音楽のように質感やリズムを織りなしていくかのようです。
本展では、これまで向き合ってきた絵画作品と近年はじめた陶芸作品を並べながら、フルタミチエが見つめる抽象と具象の移り変わりとメディウムのかかわりに眼を向けます。温もりのある鮮やかな色彩で描かれた線や形態は、ストロークが繰り返されるなかで、偶然性をともなった抽象的なイメージとなって現れます。絵画のイメージを織りなす色彩は陶芸のマテリアルと釉薬のなかで変容して、人や動物、風景となり、オブジェとして存在することになります。
色彩や線、形態の身振りから偶発的に生まれるイメージが風景画やオブジェとして存在するとき、色彩や線、形態はどのようなものごととして今ある世界に現れ、何を語りはじめることになるのでしょうか。こころ躍る音鳴りとともに生まれる、新しい世界の予兆にご参加ください。
フルタミチエ
京都市立芸術大学美術科卒業、京都市立芸術大学大学院油画修了。油彩、ドローイング、モノタイプ版画、陶芸と多岐にわたって創作を続ける。

〈Statement〉
To paint is to weave a scenery yet to be seen.
To create a form is to weave a story yet to be told.
Layers become the texture of the painting, resonating with sound.
Resonance turns into words, finding a place to settle.
I create abstract paintings by combining the materiality of pigments with gestural strokes.
Without a blueprint, I paint as if on a journey—rejoicing, despairing, meandering.
There are failures and detours, and I never know when the journey will end,
but then, suddenly, the moment arrives.
A path emerges. A sound is heard. My heart leaps. I live for that moment.
A few years ago, I began working with ceramics.
Once again, I shape intuitively, without a clear blueprint.
When layered and fired, glazes behave in entirely unexpected ways.
These overlapping colors resonate within me, producing a sound.
Now, I wish to put that heart-stirring resonance into words.

〈Exhibition Information〉
monade contemporary | 単子現代 is pleased to present Playing Texture, Michie Furuta: Painting and Ceramics Exhibition.
Furuta has explored various media and techniques throughout her practice, including oil painting, drawing, monotype printing, and ceramics. Her work is deeply attuned to the fleeting encounters between color and form. The lines and shapes she creates—blending materiality with gestural strokes—unfold like music, interweaving texture and rhythm.
Bringing together Furuta’s long-standing engagement with painting and her more recent exploration of ceramics, this exhibition examines the shifting interplay between abstraction and figuration, as well as the evolving relationship between different mediums. Vivid, warm hues trace lines and forms that, through repeated strokes, give rise to abstract imagery shaped by chance. The colors that construct her painted images transform within the materiality and glazes of ceramics, emerging as people, animals, and landscapes—existing as objects in space.
When the gestures of color, line, and form coalesce into landscapes and objects, how do they manifest in our present world, and what stories do they begin to tell? Please participate in the prelude to a new world, born from the resonant echoes that set the heart dancing.
Michie Furuta
Graduated from Kyoto City University of Arts, Department of Fine Arts, and completed a master’s degree in oil painting at Kyoto City University of Arts. She continues to create across various media, including oil painting, drawing, monotype printing, and ceramics.
