monade contemporary | 単子現代では、下浦萌香／Koa Phamによる展覧会「ほこりのなかから場所がかがやく | A field shimmers from the dust」を開催します。
場所に根ざした歴史や記憶、日々の営みのなかで形づくられてきた関係性に目を向ける下浦は、小さな断片から、ナラティブのまなざしを通じて世界と接続し、編み直す試みを提示します。人とオブジェクトの関係が変化するプロセスに着目するKoa Phamは、色彩豊かなドローイングやバスボムにより、楽園のように表象された政治体制の両義性を表現しようとします。
本展では、ある政治体制が空気のように占めている場所を人々の営みと歴史や記憶に介入しながら新たな空間としてつくり変える可能性を探ります。個人をとりまく状況のなかで感じられる物質と色彩の印象は、小さな断片として寄せ集められ、積み重ねられるなかで、異質な空間として再構成されていきます。ほこりのような印象のなかで揺れる色彩の微細な運動は、ストロークの反復を通じて新たな空間として現れてくることになります。
ほこりのように映える人々の気配や記憶が寄せ集められるとき、ある場所を占める政治体制の両義性はどのように見えてくるのでしょうか。極小の断片から立ち現れる、新たな政治空間の生成にご参加ください。

イベント「寄せ集めの食事会」
11月15日(土)19時～21時「寄せ集めの食卓」
「ほこりの中から場所がかがやく」展に寄せて、ギャラリー併設の「ことばを食べるカフェみずうみ」にて、「寄せ集めの食卓」を開きます。欠片（かけら）になった食べものは言の葉。自分の言葉で自分の食べものを作ってみましょう。どうなるかわからない世界で生きていくための練習（プラクティス）として。
・それぞれに好きな食材を持ち寄り、
・欠片（かけら）の状態にしたものをシェア
・それぞれ好きなように組み立てて、
・その食べものに名前を付けて食べます。
参加費は好きな食材なんでも。ご予約不要、どなたもお気軽にご参加ください。
下浦萌香（Moeka Shimoura）
ある場所に根ざした歴史や記憶、日々の営みのなかで形づくられてきた関係性に関心を持ち、そうした蓄積を出発点に、制作を行っている。2021年より大阪府藤井寺市・土師ノ里エリアにて、アーティスト・ラン・スペース「デラハジリ」の運営を開始。滞在制作や地域との協働、リサーチを通じて、芸術が日常のなかで息づく在り方を探っている。

Koa Pham（コア・ファム）
1993年、ベトナム・ホーチミン市生まれ、ロンドン在住。ベトナム、ロンドンを拠点に活動。ドローイング、彫刻、パフォーマンス、デザインなど、さまざまな媒体にかかわりながら制作をしている。作品では、オブジェ、人間、空間の関係を特に検討しながら、どのようにオブジェクトが人間に主体性を与え、意思決定に影響を与えるかについて考察を深めている。 https://koaph.am

〈Exhibition Information〉
monade contemporary | 単子現代 is pleased to present A field shimmers from the dust, an exhibition by Moeka Shimoura and Koa Pham.
Shimoura turns her attention to the histories, memories, and everyday practices that shape relationships rooted in particular places. From small fragments, she seeks to connect with the world through a narrative gaze and to reweave its fabric. Focusing on the process in which the relationship between people and objects transforms, Koa attempts to express, through subtle drawings and bath-bomb works, the ambivalence of a political system represented as a kind of paradise.
This exhibition explores the possibility of transforming a place pervaded—almost like air—by a certain political system into a new space, through interventions in people’s lives, histories, and memories. Impressions of matter and color perceived within individual circumstances are collected and layered as small fragments, and in this accumulation, they are reconfigured into a heterogeneous spatial field. The minute movements of color shimmering within dust-like impressions emerge, through repeated strokes, as new spatial manifestations.
When traces and memories of people—shimmering like dust—come together, how might the ambivalence of a political system that occupies a place appear to us? Please join us in witnessing the emergence of a new political space arising from the tiniest of fragments.

In conjunction with the exhibition “Where Dust Shines into Place,” we will host “Fragment Food Gathering” at Café Mizuumi — Eating Words, located next to the gallery. Here, fragments of food become words. Let’s try making your own food with your own words — as a practice for living in this world of uncertainty.
Participation fee: Any food ingredient you like.
No reservation required — everyone is welcome to join.
Moeka Shimoura
Shimoura’s practice is grounded in an interest in the histories, memories, and relationships formed within specific places and through daily life. Since 2021 she has run the artist-run space Derahajiri in the Haji-no-Sato area of Fujiidera, Osaka. Through residencies, research, and collaborations with local communities, she explores how art can breathe within the fabric of everyday life.
Born 1995 in Tokyo, raised in Osaka.

2021 Began operating artist-run space Derahajiri.

Koa Pham
Born 1993 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; lives and works in London. Working between Vietnam and London, Pham creates drawings, sculptures, performances, and design projects that examine how objects mediate the relationship between people and space. Her practice investigates how objects may grant agency to humans and influence their decisions.
